The arc of The Ghost Light is designed as a Three Season Story,

But can also work as one star-studded-season with a two-hour season/series finale!

The Ghost Light applies the three act arc of a play to a television series.

The Ghost Light drives to three major season (or act) cliffhangers and crescendos in a deeply satisfying conclusion—where the fictional play within the series is seen in its entirety (in both timelines on and off stage), and the murder and mystery of the time loop is shockingly revealed and satisfyingly solved. The terrifying, time-hopping, and hilarious plot twists pay off— as deeply entangled character relationships unravel, then mend, weaving together the “how, why, and when-done it” of this terrifying “who-dun’-it!”

Shooting two Timelines in one location allows us to attract film star talent with efficient scheduling.

Every single scene takes place inside the theater (and various “rooms” within it), permitting us to work expeditiously in this semi-post-Covid world. The nature of our two-timeline story telling allows us to use the same set, props, (and in some cases even costumes) over the course of the series, freeing us to focus on the storytelling. Through stunning cinematography, we zoom in on our frightening, funny, and familiar characters, as they navigate their way through a maze of menace and wit, atop a solid foundation of murder mystery.

The mysterious events in the first episode are mirrored in the final episode empowering the audience

to piece together the clues alongside our hauntingly delightful protagonist, Clara, as she realizes the end was literally the beginning – ultimately seeing that the answers to the mystery were right here in front of her/us all along, in the very first episode. The shared “overlapping rules” of time travel, murder mystery, and frightful farce coalesce in our hybrid genre, grounding the audience in this topsy-turvy world, so that they experience

the emotional twists and turns right along with our characters.

The Ghost Light’s central idea— that we haunt ourselves until we face ourselves (in life, death, and art)

runs through each episode. We explore the heroism required to confront our deepest fears and see ourselves for who and what we truly are underneath the cryptic costume of life, as portrayed by brash, bold, and brave characters who risk it all to obtain their objectives (on stage and off). In this immersive journey behind the scenes of art and identity, The Ghost Light tells a haunting tale of the courage (and commerce) it takes to make art, the mysterious nature of story-telling itself, and the real life ghost story awaiting us all...
